Sports Saturdays: A series of four sports (flag football, soccer, basketball, & softball) meets over 5 week periods on Saturday mornings. Volunteers welcome to help with coaching.

Dad's Breakfast: An opportunity to meet and share with other home schooling dads over a weekday breakfast.

Chess Club: Meets once a week to play chess. All skill levels are welcome and tournaments are an option.

Family Fall Kick Off: Held at Woodward Park in September to play games, reconnect with old friends and make new friends. Each family brings their own picnic and a dessert to share. Volunteer coordinator position open and other volunteers welcome to help with games, set up and take down.

School Photos: An opportunity in mid-October to have school photos taken and ID cards made. Volunteers welcome to help during event.

Fine Arts Faire: Typically held in early November, this allows CHEFA students to share their creative side. Writing, arts, crafts, sewing, sculpture, photography, etc. are all welcome, along with performing arts opportunities too. Volunteers welcome.

Mom's Tea: A time of fellowship and encouragement for Mom held after the new year, in February or March, with a guest speaker, tea and treats. Volunteers welcome to help with planning and the actual event.

Science Fair: A great opportunity in March, to study an aspect of God's creation, learn the scientific method and experience giving a presentation on what was learned. Volunteers are needed for judging, refreshments, and more.

Used Book Sale: On a Saturday in June join us to offer used books to others. Of course, all are welcome to stop by and browse the curriculum too. Volunteers welcome.

CHEFA Youth Fellowship

Open to CHEFA students in 7th - 12th grades. Both student and parent volunteer opportunities are available for each event, which typically include:

Bonfire: Held in October, this evening typically includes food, fellowship, volleyball, games, bounce house and worship time.

Christmas Party: This December event varies from year to year. In 2004, it was held at Yosemite Fitness where we had pizza, dinner, dessert, rock climbing and indoor soccer.

Broomball: Sometime in February this food and fellowship time is followed by playing ice hockey with brooms (in tennis shoes).

Square Dance: In April, students and parents are encouraged to learn this fun activity. Everyone is involved in the evening, including a sub sandwich dinner.

High School Banquet: For 9th-12th graders only, this event is held in April or May. A formal evening held at a local hotel's banquet room with a sit down dinner, a program honoring the senior class, and professional pictures are available to be taken. As with all CYF events, this is a non-dating event.

8th Grade Graduation: A special celebration for our 8th grade students usually held at the end of May. Volunteers needed to coordinate, plan and help with the event.

12th Grade Graduation: A great way to honor our 12th grade students during an evening at the beginning of June. Volunteers needed to coordinate, plan and help with the event.

Leadership: Students in 10th-12th grades may apply to be on the CYF Leadership Team. Typically, two students from each grade are selected to serve for the year. Duties include helping an adult sponsor plan, organize and execute CYF events. Students must have participated in past CHEFA Activities to be eligible to serve in this position.
